The engineering department at Northern Air Systems contain an innovative and highly skilled team that possesses years of experience in multiple types of HVAC engineering. Past and ongoing projects include simple and complex unit designs and support services. This experience encompasses projects from the conceptual design phase to in-progress projects that require workable solutions to challenging obstacles. Northern Air Systems employs college-educated engineers and designers that work in all aspects of unit design/development and are focused on delivering perfect results. Our engineers are ready to align themselves with your objectives to help deliver a successful product for our customers 100% of the time. Will Rausch – Vice President Operations

Will Rausch is the Vice President of Operations (formerly Director of Engineering) for Northern Air Systems. He has demonstrated success in leading Northern Air’s design efforts in his over 10+ years of experience with the company. Will has introduced and implemented the use of 3-D computer aided drafting on all product designs and has helped lead and maintain a “quality first” design mentality which is evident in all Northern Air systems. Will holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His dedication, determination, and hands-on design experience has helped lead to the success and progression of Northern Air Systems.

Tim Frieday – Engineering Manager

Tim Frieday is the Engineering Manager for Northern Air Systems. He has been strongly contributing to streamlining the engineering and design process for new products since 2012. Tim has a strong knowledge of various control systems and has implemented many changes to produce a better functioning product. His detail oriented thinking and vigorous determination has been crucial to Northern Air’s success. Tim graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology, Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Bill Gutheim – Consulting Engineer

Bill Gutheim is a consulting engineer for Northern Air Systems. With more than 38 years of experience in design and manufacturing, he comes to NAS as the former chief engineer at Carrier Transacold. Mr. Gutheim graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. He also is a graduate from Syracuse University with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
